We have been providing security to outdoor events since 2001. The events we currently work at range in size from 2,000 people to 10,000 people, no event is too small. Our team is made up of both SIA licensed and trained stewards, and we choose our team specifically for each event depending on what the organiser requires from us.

We can also provide a consultancy service to event organisers, which can include risk assessments and help with the event planning and organisation.

Food safety law requires all food handlers to be trained according to their food handling work activities. The new HABC qualifications in FoodSafety will assist food business operators to demonstrate that food handlers have been trained in food hygiene matters appropriate to the work that they do and therefore comply with their legal requirement.

On obtaining HABC qualifications in Food Safety, employees who handle food will gain a firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems, techniques and procedures involved. Furthermore, they will have the confidence and expertise to deliver quality food safely to customers.

These new HABC Food Safety qualifications are intended for anyone working in catering, hospitality or manufacturing settings where food is prepared, cooked, served or produced. Typical environments may include pubs, hotels, restaurants, retail, factories, contract catering, fast-food outlets, hospitals, care and nursing homes, schools, prisons and the armed forces.

Level 1 Award in Food Safety in Catering

This qualification focuses on the importance of food safety in the catering and hospitality sectors and provides food handlers with the knowledge of how they can contribute to product safety. Before starting work for the first time food handlers need to be aware of the hazards and controls associated with food in catering operations. Particular attention is paid to the role of food handlers in preventing contamination and temperature abuse of food and the destruction of bacteria by thorough cooking. The importance of good personal hygiene, cleaning, waste management and recognising and reporting signs of pests are also stressed.On achieving this Award candidates will be equipped with the knowledge to enable them to provide safe food and will assist the business to comply with the law.

Level 2 Award in Food Safety In Catering

The aim of the HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering qualification is to provide candidates with knowledge of the basic food safety practices that is essential in the catering industry. This includes the hazards and risks to food safety presented by food operations and personnel together with cost-effective, practical control measures.

The qualification is designed principally for those who are, or intend to be, food handlers working in catering. It is also appropriate for persons providing services to catering premises including pest control operators, maintenance engineers, cleaners, laundry and delivery personnel.

The achievement of the HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering qualification will enable learners to identify how to make changes to catering practices in order to improve the safety of catering services.

The Ofqual approved HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering qualification has been developed specifically for insertion onto the Qualifications and Credit Framework with full support from People 1st, the Sector Skills Council for Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism. It is therefore fully cognisant with industry and regulatory standards as well as being recognized by Environmental Health Practitioners, Auditors and other Enforcement Officers.

Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (Refresher)

The aim of the HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (Refresher) qualification is to provide candidates with knowledge of the basic food safety practices that is essential in the catering industry. This includes the hazards and risks to food safety presented by food operations and personnel together with cost-effective, practical control measures.

The qualification is designed principally for those who are food handlers working in catering and are due to receive refresher training. HABC recommends that competency testing takes place at least annually, followed by short refresher sessions, to continuously demonstrate the importance of working safely.

The achievement of the HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering qualification will enable learners to identify how to make changes to catering practices in order to improve the safety of catering services.
